Tree of Life Wisdom Academy (The Academy, “We”,  “Us”, “Our”, the Site) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy as we provide our services.  In this policy we refer to You as “user”, “student”, “You” and “Your”. 

If you want to become a student of The Academy, You will need to register/enroll and open a personal account through Our Website.  At the time of registration, We may ask You to provide Us with a certain amount of personal information such as Your name, user name, email and city, country.  This information will facilitate account creation and the log-in process for your use of the Site.  We may use Your information for the purposes of managing and maintaining your account in working order.

If You would at any time like to review or change the information in Your account, You can log into Your account settings and update Your account or request such changes by notifying Us at chana@treeoflifewisdomacademy.com .

Submission of such personal information is voluntary, but without it You may not be able to receive full benefit of Our Services.  By providing Your personal information, You consent to do so for the purpose of receiving the service and receiving notifications about the course or service for which you are registered/enrolled.  

We do not collect personally identifiable information about you unless you voluntarily provide it, such as when you provide email contact information to register for one of the Academy’s courses, to subscribe to the Tree of Life Wisdom Academy email list or newsletter, to send feedback to The Academy,  or respond to a survey.

When You voluntarily provide your email address or other contact information, The Academy may use it to provide and operate our services, including providing You with customer assistance, contacting You with general or personalized Academy related notices and promotional messages or emails including changes to Our terms, conditions and policies. 

 In addition We may use Your personal information to develop, customize, expand and improve Our services.  We might also use it to inform you of changes to the Academy, to survey you about your use or opinion of The Academy, or to ask for your support.  

You may unsubscribe from Our promotional email list at any time by sending an email to that effect to   chana@treeoflifewisdomacademy.com. You will then be removed from the promotional email list; however, We will still need to send You course and service-related emails that are necessary for the use of Your account. At any time you may request Your personal information to be deleted and Your account with Us cancelled.  In that case, we will cancel your account and we will remove Your personal information from our files.

We do not make your contact information or any other personally identifiable information available to anyone outside The Academy or its service providers (who use the information only for authorized  Tree of Life Wisdom Academy purposes) unless we are legally required to do so.

In addition to the above, we may collect certain anonymous (non-personally identifiable) information to help us improve the Academy website and to evaluate the access and use of The Academy materials and the impact of The Academy on the worldwide educational community:

We process Your data when it is reasonably necessary to achieve Our legitimate business interests.

If we need to report information about The Academy access, use, and impact, we report aggregate, non-personally identifiable data. Occasionally, we report quoted feedback from users. We do not attribute feedback to specific individuals unless we obtain permission to use that person’s name along with the feedback.

If we reasonably suspect that Your account has been used for an unauthorized, illegal or criminal purpose, You give Us express authorization to share information about You, Your account and any of Your transactions with appropriate law enforcement. We may disclose Your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal

Further, We may disclose Your information where We believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations or Our policies, suspected fraud, illegal activities, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, or as evidence in litigation in which We are involved.

From time to time, We may update this Privacy Policy.  If we make any significant change to it, we will notify You via email, through a notification posted on the Services or as required by applicable law.  We will also include a summary of the key changes.  Unless stated otherwise, modifications will become effective on the day they are posted.  As permitted by applicable law, if you continue to use the Services after the effective date of any change, then your access and/or use of the Academy Site will be deemed an acceptance of (and agreement to follow and be bound by) the revised Privacy Policy.  The revised Privacy Policy supersedes any previous Privacy Policies.
